Ellie’s Nest is a New York City early childhood community bringing children, families, caregivers, and local partners together through experiences that nurture emotional intelligence, belonging, and giving back.

Our mission is to create experiences and resources that help children feel seen, heard, secure, and connected.
Why Ellie's Nest
Children are often cared for, spoken about, and included in adult decisions—but they are not always asked how they feel or given space to express what they need.
Ellie’s Nest was created to help close that gap. We bring the adults in a child’s life closer together while keeping the child’s experiences, development, and voice at the center.
Our Philosophy
We believe emotional intelligence is not an extra lesson. It develops through everyday moments: how we listen to children, respond to their emotions, guide their behavior, and help them understand their place in the world. When children feel heard, they learn that their voice matters. When they are supported through big emotions, they begin to feel safe. When they contribute to their community, they develop empathy, confidence, and belonging. The smallest interactions can shape a child’s inner world. That is why we lead with presence, patience, respect, and intention.
Our Vision
We envision Park Pals Crew chapters throughout New York City and, eventually, across the country, each one shaped by its neighborhood but united by a shared belief that children belong at the heart of community life. As Ellie’s Nest grows, we also plan to develop practical resources for families and caregivers and launch a thoughtfully built nanny agency grounded in the trust and relationships we are creating today. We are building the community first because trust comes before the transaction.
Community in Action
Park Pals Crew is where our philosophy comes to life.
Through child-friendly micro-litter pickups and family experiences, children care for their local parks alongside parents, caregivers, neighbors, and community partners. A simple cleanup becomes a lesson in teamwork, responsibility, pride, and giving back.
Our first Park Pals Crew event brought nearly 50 children together at Washington Market Park in Tribeca. Their excitement showed us that children do not have to wait until they are older to create meaningful change. They only need an opportunity to participate.
